Thanks-Giving : Give Thanks ... Always

It is the week of Thanksgiving. The Bible verse below seems to appear many times to me and I am going to share it:

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

There are many seasons of our lives. We've just gotta embrace them as they come. They are meant as gifts to us - to shed, strengthen, teach and make a better us.

It's an opportunity to turn an attitude to gratitude. Let us remind ourselves of the things that we are grateful for - for the things we have, not the things we do not have. Let this be a core value in us always, not only on Thanksgiving day.

Dreams

J shared two of his dreams:

1) A ripe mango among all the other green, unripe mangoes.

J jokingly told his Bible study group members. T interpreted that his wife will get pregnant.

Two weeks later, his wife, A really got pregnant.

2) The baby is a boy. His name is Aigle (not too sure if this is the correct spelling).

At that time, J doesn't know the gender of the baby yet. He has a vision which told him the above.  J woke up and told his wife who was in the ladies. A shrug away and told J that he was just dreaming.

A few months later, they found out the baby was indeed a boy. Apparently Aigle means Temple and a noble warrior.

2013 - A(n) (unexpected) Post

It has been ages since I last wrote in my blog. Well how time flies and my blog has been silent for more than 2 years! Many things happened and somehow circumstances brought me today to pen down some words to relive the blog. I have drawn closer to God, whilst made some true friends.

Only yesterday, together with some friends, we've organized a surprise party for Y at T's place. The house was filled with laughter and I can really sense the presence of love, joy, friendships and holy spirit among us. I felt like a family. The experience and feelings are priceless.

As Christmas is drawing near, let us remember the poor, ill and unfortunate ones and give whatever we can - be it materially, emotionally, support or spiritually.
