Easter Break

1st April
My company gave the staff a treat at the Toscana restaurant where we had authentic Italian food, free flow of drinks, party and dancing all night. We had the whole restaurant for ourselves as the company booked the whole place just for us.

The mussels and clams as starter and the mouth watering monk fisk and scallops as the main dish deserve all the compliments that I can ever give. The good service and the warmth of the Italian owners and waiters never failed to bring out the brilliant Latin culture and mood of the night. Even, A DJ was hired to play an excellent range of music which entertain and accompany our dancing the whole night. As if that was not enough, cabs were hired to bring the staff home- the reasons being so was that we were expected to get drunk and hence not fit to be driving home.

It was indeed a nice treat for the hard work done. Thank you, F! It was indeed a good start to the long weekend!

2nd April
It is Good Friday. I went to the GPS for church after submitting the application at the Old Street. However, I was late and end up shopping at the Oxford Street. I've managed to get L's a present for her birthday next Saturday.

3rd April
T, F, P & I left for Brighton where we visited the Royal Pavillion, enjoyed the sea breeze by the beach, the sunny weather and shopping along those narrow shopping lanes, which reminded me of Italy. Oh, how the moments brought back the nostalgia. I love strolling along the tiny lanes, with those cute and artistic little mini shops on my right and left, just like the ones in Venice, Bergamo, Stresa and even Santorini. Yeah, as you can guess, we, the girls went shopping and all of us went home with dresses. We also got pretty good deals at the Oriental restaurant where we savored varieties of food from the lunch buffet. We took a nice coffee break in between the shopping to simply chill out with teas, sweets, chips and cheese as we chatted and laughed. It was indeed a lovely day out with just the gals indulging ourselves in our very own way. Bliss!

4th April
It's Easter Sunday. I left for church and invited F for lunch at my place after the service. We wanted to go to Clarks at a shopping mall nearby to get her a pair of shoes to go with her dress but unfortunately the shops were closed. I had to cancel my grocery shopping for the day as well. So, I left home and relax and chatted over the MSN and skype. In the evening, SM and I had dinner at TAS, a Turkish restaurant and catched up on our ol' good days. SM came to Europe for her backpacking trip and has been traveling around Europe for almost a month and she is due to leave on the 5th April. I gave her a treat and left to South Bank where we strolled by the River Thames, walked on the Millennium Bridge towards the St Paul's Cathedral, all under the bright London sky at night. It was beautiful!

5th April
SM and I left for the British Museum where we joined a tour on the Roman Britain. Then we left to meet A for dim sum at the Phoenix Palace restaurant, near Baker Street. Apparently, according to him, the place are frequently visited by the upper end patrons. Not surprised though, considering the setting and the location of the place are rather posh.

Then we headed to the Sherlock Holmes house nearby where we snapped several photos. We did not go in as the queue was long. We then left to Harrods for window shopping, just to share with SM the Princess D & D 's memorial. SM and A then invited me to their place. A bought us coffee and tea from the Starbucks nearby and we left to his place to chill out whilst watching the classic movie 'Cinderella'. It was a good movie in the English and French country setting. After about 2-3 hours chatting and relaxing, we send SM to Paddington where she took the express train to Heathrow. I am glad to be able to catch up with her again. A & SM were really nice lads. It reminds me that no matter where you are, friends still play an important role in your life. Ironically, I actually appreciate her recent presence in London, albeit a mere few days.

So, I am back at home now and would lay may tired body but fulfilling mind on the bed in an hour or so. Tomorrow, I shall be back to the normal grind again- work. But you know what, as I've always try to think positively and count my blessings, thank God that next week it is merely 4 days work:)

Hope that you had a good Easter break too, my friends.:)
